Hey everyone, I know that mothers day is coming up in a few days but since I probably won't get online that day I am going to say thank-you to my mom today!!
Mom, thank you for being you, from your amazing cooking to telling us random facts about the world of today that make us smarter and more aware of the world around us. For always pushing us to excel at school and always finding new and creative ways to help us get our stuff done. For putting up with me especially when I am argumentative, and for loving me every single moment of the day. Thanks for even though you wanted to quit you suffered through the pains of child birth so that I could be here right now!!!
I am sorry for not being as helpful to you as I should be, and I will be a better daughter for you and try in anyways possible to lighten your load for you!!!
I LOVE YOU MOM!!!!!!!!

Purity
Happy Easter!
Today I am going to talk about the thought that matrimony is not important!! It seems in this world monogamous sacramental marriage and family has become trivialized and even put down as old-fashioned, unnecessary, or even a way of making women subservient or less.
This generation has got it into their heads that one can have a "loving- physically intimate" relationship without getting married. This has been going on for quite some time, but never looked on with favor until the seventies. It is what I think to be one of the worst things that we have done in the name of personal freedom. Freedom should not mean acting as though these intimate relationships are a right rather than what they are which is a responsibility to ourselves, another person, and any resulting family.
A kiss now-a-days is done as carelessly as a hand shake. Every time you kiss someone, you are giving away a part of your self, and making it less than what it should be. Every girl dreams about her wedding day but now weddings are happening less and less- or actually more and more as people see marital relations as disposable. Not working out? Good-bye.
The current "known" statistic is that one out of every three marriages ends in divorce. Mariage is an everlasting thing"till death do we part". You do not get to leave some one just because of a fight or something. You chose that person to be with you forever!
It is frustrating to see in the secular world, but I almost find it more frustrating when I see Christians condone divorce! If we really take the Bible at its word-- isn't that what we're supposed to do!!??? Then, we need look no further than what Jesus says!
"Jesus said in reply, "Have you not read that from the begining the creator 'made them male and female' and said 'for this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall be come one flesh? So, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, no human being must seperate. They said to Him, "Then why did Moses command that the man give the woman a bill of divorce and dismiss her?" He said to them, "Because of the hardness of your hearts, Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. I say to you, whoever divorces his wife (unless the marriage is unlawful) and marries another commits adultery." Matthew 19: 4-10
Okay, so I guess that's what there is for marriage. It is a commitment and should be not taken lightly. It was set up as a sacrament- an oath made to God- a sacred and Holy promise! So, let's get back to the whole living together without marriage or intimate relations outside of marriage. My personal statement: I will keep matrimony as a beautiful sacrament. My vows will be permanent and powerfully meant for God and my husband. I will remain pure until my wedding night. I will save my first kiss for my husband with the disclaimer that I may give this to my fiance'.

Sacrifice
Pain is a natural part of life, yet people are afraid of it and run away from it. Making pain killers and medications just to take away a small headache; I get that. When doing an operation, or when someone breaks a bone or something really serious like that, then pain meds are necessary. But no one can run away from pain completely with out some consequence. People use meds for every thing- big or small- pain or inconvenience. Problem acne, sore muscle, coughing, etc etc....... Please dont think i am a pain lover. I hate pain, but i am not going to take a pain med every time that i have some pain. All we are doing is filling our body with unnecessary drugs and making ourselvesw weaker in the process because we aren't used to a bit of suffering as a normal course of life. Back through history, people didn't use pain meds, and they lived long healthy lives. True- some died from unnecesary things that we could stop from happining now-a-days, but back then, they did not have half of the deseases that we have today. Now, even inconveniences come in the way of foods, etc. Everything needs to be easy and simple and fast. We don't make food, we re-heat it! They didn't have all of these proccessed foods or premade frozen foods or over-doses of sugar! Plus, they worked for their food. They worked the farm or split wood to build their house, and they walked practically everywhere. Some people in this time that we live in don't know how to cook or really clean because they didn't have to as children. Okay, so this started out with pain, but it's all about what we see as inconvenience and drudgery and pain that could be thought of as making life, our homes, and others even more valuable to us because of the small or large sacrifices that we go through for something other than ourselves. Some pain is necessary if we are to value moments that we are pain-free, healthy, happy, etc. We are stronger for the work or moment of dealing with something rather than counting it as a nuisance. I pray that my kids know how meaningful life is and the work and sacrifices that go into making life better for us as well as those that are important in our life and the world beyond. I am grateful to my parents for living with sparse medicine cabinets, whole foods that require thought, etc to make into nourishing foods for our family, and for showing me that a good work ethic is more important than taking the easy road. If it means living with a small headache and figuring out ways of coping rather than a quick-fix, then so be it. I think I am stronger, smarter, healthier, and more creative because my life is not always easy or built around conveniences.

Birthdays
Hey Ya'll, here's a shout out to my little sis who just turned 5 today. Five Years ago my mom went through a very dangerous pregnancy and I am not sayng that because all pregnancies are dangerous, I am saying it because my mom ALMOST died.......Ever since I was born my mom has only, ever had natural pregnancies, no pain meds, no cutting her up; painful natural birth, because she always said that it was such a small price to pay for the miracle of a child. Now that my sister is five years old the fact that my mom almost died seems almost impossible. My sister is an amazing little girl who loves princesses, movies, learning, and her little brother. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIRD!!!
